How to Use Candles to Relax

Magical remedies are back in high demand, although people aren't calling them magical. They have renamed it aromatherapy, holistic healing and the spa treatment. But before any of those things became the mainstream names for relaxing with candles, it was simply practical.
Examine your current emotional state, whether you are stressed or angry. Evaluate which candle color is the most fitting for your mood. For instance burning a pink candle should spark admiration. A green candle attracts money. Choose a scent that you find soothing in your second candle. Mate your third candle to your first or second candle.
Step 2Place each candle around you in a circular or triangular shape. Make sure that you are using candle holders so that the candle wax does not leak into your carpet or floor. Light each candle with your intentions in your mind. If you only intend to relax that let that be the state of mind you think of when you light the candles.
Step 3Sit your body in between the candles crossing your legs in an Indian style. If you can not sit Indian style then sit on a chair in between the candles but make sure your feet are firmly on the ground. Sit quietly for just a moment to settle your mind. Then take a deep breath, fill your lungs with as much air as possible, and blow it out as if your breath was a sharp object you where trying to propel across the room. Do this exercise three times.
Step 4While sitting in position among the candles, clear your mind. Clearing your mind can be difficult if you are someone who is always busy. So picture a single word in your head and continue to breathe. The scent from the candles will begin to soothe you. Do this exercise for at least 30 minutes, when you are done you will feel grounded and relaxed.
