Where there is no imagination there is no horror. Pumpkins, scarecrows and corn husks, the elements of autumn season are prevalent during the Halloween. Its concept of Halloween came from gothic and literature of mythical monsters, evil, death, occult and magic.

To some, Halloween reminds them of a candy whereas, people put out candies lots and lots of candies every Halloween and mostly, it is more applicable to younger people, it serves a way to give entertainment but most of the time to fright, because fear is mostly being related to reverence, by this means, children will give more respect to the Saints as the Halloween is noted on October 31.

Others refer to it as simply a day where people dress up, since costume parties are all around. Others spend it simply at home where they can relax and remove all their thoughts about creepy connotation with the Holiday and some may say Halloween is where ugly people dare remove their everyday masks.

Darkness of night and the color of bonfires, autumn leaves, and jack-o’-lanterns are well represented by the colors black and orange- the traditional Halloween colors while the traditional Halloween characters include the witches, vampires, demons, ghosts, black cats, bats, large spiders, werewolves and skeletons.

The annual holiday includes the activities such as bonfires, ghost tours, visiting haunted attractions, apple bobbing, trick-or-treating, attending costume parties, carving jack-o’-lantern, or simply sharing ghost stories and watching horror movies.

The making of jack-o’-lanterns was adapted with candle lanterns carved from turnips by the practice of commemoration to the souls in purgatory.

Traditionally, large turnips were hollowed out, carved and placed on the windows to get rid of evil spirits. Now, the carving of pumpkins is related with Halloween in North America because pumpkins are much larger and eagerly available that makes it easier to be carved compared with turnips.

All the activities that is done during the Halloween is product of the creative imagination of human beings that subsisted. Whatever the effect may gives, the lesson it brings about nothing can compare to the entertainment and remarkable experience it leaves.
