For thousands of years, stars have been seen as mystical and magical. They play a strong role in religions as messengers and were studied by the Magi. Seaman followed guiding stars and children still make wishes upon stars. A star symbolizes the highest connections to the spiritual realm making the star a perfect configuration for high-level energy work. Here are three types of stars to use:

1.The Five-Pointed Star of Strength.
The symbol of religious practices, the five pointed star is known as a pentagram in magic circles. It can be used with a single point up or down depending on the desired outcome.
Similar to DaVinci’s Universal Man, the five points of this star represent the human body. Its points also represent air, fire, water, earth and spirit. Its center, the quincunx represents the conjunction of heaven and earth. With all of these forces drawing together, it represents The Light. Using this candle configuration creates an energy that can be used for visionary work and for setting energy into motion.
To set up the Five-Pointed Star, use a blue, red, yellow, green and white candle. Place one for the head, place two equal distances for the arms and two equal distances for the legs, forming a star pattern.
2.The Six-Pointed Star of Balance and Protection. The six-pointed star is made of two intersecting triangles that balance male and female energies. It represents the heaven and earth and in some energy modalities, as above, so below. Six is often thought of as a perfect number of harmony, the number of good luck, love and health. Burning candles in this configuration will link the Mental Plane with the Heart Energies to open your spiritual aspects.
To create the six-pointed star, you need of course 6 candles. Green for heart energy is a perfect choice, but any color may be used as this is a balanced form of energy; just be sure they are all the same color. Make one triangle of 3 candles and then create another triangle that intersects from the other three candles, but points in the opposite direction. One point of a triangle should point out in front of you, the other in the rear of your body.
3.The Seven-Pointed Star of Healing. Representing the higher spiritual number of seven, this formation resonates with the seven chakras stimulating, balancing and providing healing. It is used for the highest intentioned spiritual work and accessing the higher planes.
The seven-pointed star is formed by placing one candle at the head. Two candles equal distance from the shoulders. Two candles equal distance from the hips and two candle forming points to the back like legs. For Chakra balancing and healing either sit in the middle of the formation, or have your client lay in the middle.
